Summer Jib builds consumer apps that may handle sensitive personal information. We use practical safeguards, plain privacy disclosures, and account controls so users can understand how their data is handled.
Access-token protection
Plaid access tokens are treated as sensitive credentials and are encrypted before storage. Production services are configured to require secure secrets and strict webhook verification.
Device authentication
PerkTrack can require Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode before showing linked financial data. It also asks for device owner authentication before opening Plaid Link.
Last-known dashboard cache
The iOS app may keep a protected last-known dashboard cache on device so users do not see a blank account state while fresh sync completes. Sign-out and account deletion clear this local cache.
Account deletion
PerkTrack includes in-app account deletion. Deletion removes linked Plaid Items before local account cleanup, except for limited records we are legally allowed or required to retain.
What Users Can Expect
- We use HTTPS, access controls, audit logging, rate limits, and provider security features to protect app and website operations.
- We limit Plaid product usage to the data needed for the current PerkTrack experience, currently Transactions and Liabilities.
- We do not receive biometric templates from Apple; Face ID and Touch ID checks happen locally on the user's device.
- We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We review production evidence before making Plaid or App Store compliance representations.
- No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to prevent, detect, and respond to security issues responsibly.
